Today I want to talk about something I am very excited about… INSANITY MAX:30! Who should do this program? Well, anyone who does not have a serious injury or who is not on any sort of medical hold from working out. I might not recommend it to a beginner but if you have got a lot of heart and are REALLY willing to DIG DEEP to get fast results then GOOD FOR YOU, give it a go! Who should ABSOLUTELY do this? Anyone who has conquered Insanity, T25, P90X, P90X3, Chalene Extreme or is just obsessed with any sort of fitness. The idea behind this program is you go literally AS HARD AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN, you hold NOTHING back, you save NOTHING for later, until you CAN NOT go any more. That’s when you press pause and you have “maxed out” then you take a break and come back at it. There will be more coming about this amazing new program from the INCREDIBLE SHAUN T soon. For now, give it some thought. The release date is December 2nd. Not sure you are ready for this yet? Well then start something today to get you one step closer. Seriously, what have you got to lose but some weight. How hard are you willing to try for the healthy, fit body you have always wanted? I know I’m not stopping!!!
So, you have been working out and eating right. You are feeling proud of yourself. Things are finally going right for you! THEN OUT OF NOWHERE it hits you, the dreaded CRAVINGS. You want to bake cookies or brownies. No, you want ice cream, or is it cake you want? Maybe you could just pretend it is your birthday and have both? I was there just an hour ago! I was so tempted to go out in the FREEZING cold and get something disgustingly bad for me! Something I would quickly regret and beat myself up over when I look in the mirror tomorrow morning. I want to share with you, some of my favorite go-to sweet snack ideas. Tonight it was vegan chocolate Shakeology because I wanted CHOCOLATE and perhaps ice cream. Here is my list:
First let’s go over an important vocabulary word- Cleanut butter: Clean peanut butter, this is a natural peanut butter without strange chemicals or loaded with sugar/sugar substitutes.
-Apple slices w/ cleanut butter
-Greek yogurt w/ fruit or berries
-Raspberries with organic pure cocoa chips stuffed in them
-A banana, banana w/ cleanut butter, or yonanas
-Raisins or trail mix
-Spinach & fruit smoothie
-Cleanut butter & jelly sandwich on whole grain (sugar free) bread
-The “cookies” pictured here, at first I was not a fan, but they grew on me fast and I am on my third bag in as many weeks
I have been a fitness enthusiast for about 7 years now, I enjoy the most grueling of workouts. I am an avid runner and LOVE P90X & Insanity. When it comes to a workout or classes at a gym, you name it… I have tried it. Last winter I did 60 days of Insanity and I got faster & stronger. My stamina went through the roof, but I did not lose a pound! Why? Because my nutrition was NOT on point. I was a “healthy” eater but my body requires a strict handle on nutrition to show results. It TRULY is 80% nutrition and 20% exercise. What has made the difference for me? In July I started eating clean, focusing on complete nutrition and continued with my intense workouts. The result? So far I have lost 10 pounds! So take it from me boys and girls we eat absolute garbage in this country, ditch the junk and nourish your bodies instead. This topic reminds me of a Wal*Mart trip a few years ago, the person in front of me in line purchased a trash can, Doritos, soda pop, and donuts. The cashier said, holding up the trash can, “Can I just throw it all in here?” She meant instead of a bagging it, but I thought, “Well, yes…that is exactly where it belongs” Let’s stop poisoning ourselves and start feeding our bodies what we need. Ditch the dirty and EAT CLEAN!
